In the graphic design field, graphic designers face many challenges far more than they used to in the past.

I think what has happened over the many years is a large part due to the internet and the mass production of high-end computers and open-source software.

In 2008 when the United States economy collapsed many people decided to go back to school and try learning a trade. Back in this time frame graphic design was a highly skilled trade they’re only maybe 15 people per class and there was still a lot of manual work. As the county got worse people took Haven inside the schools and then the colleges began trying to fill seats so that he had more computers and things seemed okay at the time for quite a few years. Then this happened when I was in college I noticed that they were many students far more than there should have been that were trying to get degrees in graph design but they could not design very well. So what happened was that you had a large influx of people trying to design versus people who were really in their profession so you’re having a large overflow of people.

So when people were getting out of college and trying to search for jobs each employer was getting hundreds of applications so you would have a few good people and countless other people that did not qualify. So this created problems with job hunting. So instead of having a small dedicated group ready to work, who are highly skilled, you’re getting a vast group of people who had degrees that were not skilled and even doing basic stuff with the professional programs such as adobe illustrator and Photoshop and InDesign they were unable to run them very well so the employers were having a tough time trying to filter all that out. So this created a huge oversupply of people so there are too many people trying to fight for too few jobs. In the early 2000s and 2010s, this is when art Mills started taking hold where all these people were trying to find work and the art Mills were promising people away to be able to earn money online.

What happened was that every year or so this overflowed, people increasing and he had also people who are attempting to be self-taught trying to go out there too such as high school kids and it just got completely swamped with countless people trying to earn money.

And as everyone knows with the internet that these websites weren’t restricted to the just United States they were allowing other people from other countries to enter these sites trying to earn money too. So you were not just trying to fight against people from the United States you were playing against people from China or India or anyone else who had an account and some of these people work for $5 an hour.

This turned into a rat race and it continues to this day and everywhere that the general public does not want to pay a lot of money and there are so many people out there that they’re willing to work for $5 for something worth a lot more and what happens is that you could be out there on peace sites for weeks sometimes months and you’ll get absolutely nothing out of it. I’ve had my own experience where I’ve gone on so many sites and tried to earn money around the time I graduate college cuz I thought it would work and it turns out some of these people who are sending out these contest we’re encouraging other designers to steal from other designers so the field in those types can rampant ceiling and there’s no way to stop it all I have to do is take a screenshot and they can make something in illustrator and they can claim it and they can basically take one of these design competitions and steal it right from underneath you right in front of you and the person who is making the competition doesn’t care only or other.

But if your portfolio is good and you have many good designs and you have good technical skills preferably skills you learn in college and from technical schools, if you try going out into the workforce you do have a better chance of being able to get something.

A lot of these online art Mills and things depending on how good your artwork is may or may not work but they’re extremely cutthroat and mind-boggling amounts of competition.

If you’re able to get into a good company yes graph design is worthwhile and you can make a decent amount of money but if your portfolio is very poor and your artwork isn’t up to snuff and you’re not keeping up with design standards and you don’t know what you’re doing you’ll end up spending in circles in this field will not be for you.

I do not want to scare anyone away from the field but at the moment it is very filled I think. There is plenty of opportunity with very specific niches and very highly skilled areas. I think also with the divergence of these eyes that are creating images the highly skilled sectors of graphic design will become even more lucrative that the people who try making images get replaced by machines.

So I’m suggesting that if anyone would go with the grant design field if they get up to a high enough level to go into the highly skilled parts of it which involve coding or things of video games in high-end video editing things that the artificial intelligence cannot get into because all the lower end stuff will get replaced over time.
